Ryuka, like Hinas, isn't really Assist-type, but it fit best into here. Hinas is your basicĮscapipe technique that lets you escape dungeons upon usage. Out of the three, so that's why I put it here. Hinas isn't really an Assist-type magic, but it fits best into this group This technique is especially useful against the Dark Force series. Shield of light that cuts damage very considerably to all members in your Used best when you have a bunch of slow characters (Rune, Raja) in yourĭeban is one of the most useful techniques in the game. Tech is used to temporarily increase your quickness in battle. Saner is a technique that is more useful than it initially seems. Chaz-levelĪttackers won't get much of a boost, but Rune-level attackers will get a Temporary, and the effect varies from character to character. Shift is a technique used for a strength increase. Rever is the tech equivalent of a Moon Dew, and much less costly. One of the most useful techniques, Rever is learned by an elite few party Though, don't use it unless you are healing up before a boss. Party is paralyzed in battle, you're done. Techniques that are used in Phantasy Star IV. The Tome of Techniques is designed to list and describe each of the Stolen Property from a dear friend of mine from GameFaqs The game has a pretty crazy amount of content in some ways, and I totally forgot about the SEGA references! Golden Axe and Sonic stuff is common, but maaaaan did my face light up when I saw the Ecco reference! I am enjoying the game so far, even with the pretty rough difficulty. Is there a magic ability I can learn that brings people back to life or anything? It seems like it is going to be a major, major issue for me later on. The other issue is that apparently the only item that revives people is an incredibly rare and expensive Moon Dew, worse yet is after a fight is over when someone dies, they are still dead (most RPGs restore them back to at least 1hp). Good thing I played so much PSO and Phantasy Star I or else I would be totally clueless when it comes to Monomate, Dimate and stuff like Foi. Firstly, the menus are kind of a mess and the items, armor and magic are not described when you scroll over them, meaning you have to buy them or use them just to find out what they do first. Also, save states might come in handy, but I do not want to take too much advantage of it. ![]() I am playing the Xbox 360 Genesis Collection version this time instead because I have no idea how strong the battery on the Genesis' version's cart is and if I lost 30+ hours of work I would be devastated. Now, the game is a bit on the hard side, so any help or opinions on how I should go through the game would be much appreciated. This time I am really motivated too though, and I want to make a three part article on my site about the whole thing, because that is the kind of weird guy I am. I have always wanted to beat the game, but for some reason I just never have. I just recently started up a new playthrough of Phantasy Star IV.
